SHWS-8/1 Single wafer shipper with a square shaped design, suitable for an 8" (200mm) wafer, and comes with a hinged lid. Clamshell style single wafer shippers are used for safe transportation, storage and handling or your wafers or substrates. Designed for both in-fab transfers and secure external shipping, these carriers firmly lock the wafers or substrates within the hoop ring, preventing unwanted movement and minimizing the risk of edge chipping or surface scratches. This stable holding mechanism ensures that wafers remain intact and contamination-free throughout every stage of semiconductor processing.
This single wafer shipper is different from the traditional vacuum-formed single wafer shipper in that it is injection molded by a precision mold, which is more stable in structure and stronger in material, and can better protect highly sensitive and expensive wafers from mechanical damage during storage, transfer, or transportation.
